What is SEO Strategy for Website Google Ranking?
An SEO strategy is also known as an “SEO approach” or “search engine optimization strategy. That also designed to plan, sketch optimize search engine rankings and Implemented.
to clarify: we can define SEO strategy is a process you follow when you want to get more organic traffic.
These are some steps about SEO Strategy for Website Google Ranking which you must follow.
- List the keywords.
- Analyse Google’s first page.
- Make something different or better.
- Add a hook.
- Optimize the On-Page SEO for Website Google SEO.
- Improve search intent.
- Make your content stand out.
- Create links on your page.
- Check grammar and spelling for your content.
- Improve and update your content.
Step 1: List the keywords for your website content.
You must know that Search engine optimization revolves around keywords.
This is why keyword research is usually the first step in any legal SEO strategy for writing content.
You can also easily find the best keywords that your target customers use to use Google Suggestions.
- Start typing a keyword in Google’s search engine field, and this will generate a keywords list of suggestions.
These are usually great keywords for SEO because they come directly from Google search.
So you will know that people are looking for them already.
Also, long keywords (known as “long-tail keywords”) are less competitive than “short tail” terms.
So even though the search volume level is relatively low in the long run, you can usually Google rank for them faster.
I recommend for you typing a few different keywords into Google search bar unless you have a list of about 10 keywords.
If you want to see the search volume and level of competition for these terms, you can use a Google keyword tool such as Ubersuggest or SEMrush.
However, if you want to dive deeper into keyword research. You can also check out these videos on youtube to get ideas. Once your 10 words are listed, you’ll be ready for step # 2 to continue this SEO strategy.
Step # 2: Analyze Google’s first page
OK, so you get a handful of keywords.
It’s time to work on what these keywords are.
To do this, just type in a keyword you found on Google.
Scan the top 10 results as well
And write down the pattern you see.
For example, the SERPs for “SEO Tools” is packed with a list of tools:
So if you want to cover this topic on your site, you may want to note that the results on the first page mostly consist of list posts.
And you might want to post a list post on your blog.
Then, move on to step # 3 …
Step 3: Make something different or better
The time has come to produce some of the highest quality materials.
When it comes to SEO content, you have two options:
Option # 1: You can make something different.
Option # 2: You can create something better.
Different
Sometimes you want to make something bigger and better from there.
(Aka skyscraper technique)
But sometimes you get better with completely different content.
Why?
Because it helps prevent your content.
For example:
A few months ago I sat down to write a piece of refined content around: “Mobile SEO”.
And I noticed that Google’s first page was full of listings, such as: “Mobile X improves your site.”
now:
I could create a larger list post like this: “150 Ways to Improve Your Site Mobile.”
But that doesn’t make any sense.
Instead, I created something completely different.
Specifically, I published a definitive guide to mobile optimization.
And since my stuff was up, it got a ton of shares.
Comments:
And most importantly, backlinks:
is better
You only need to post content here that is 10x better.
For example:
A while ago I noticed that most of the articles about “SEO tools” listed only 10-20 tools.
And I knew that posting another list of 20 tools would not work.
So I decided to make a list of 188 SEO tools.
I even emphasized the fact that my audit was non-technical.
Step # 4: Add a hook
If you want to improve search engine rankings by 2020, you will need to get backlinks.
In fact, according to a recent study by Stone Temple Consulting published on Moz’s blog, the link still has a strong relationship with Google’s first-page ranking.
This means that they remain an important factor in Google’s rankings.
The question is how do you do?
You need to find out why people connect to some content in your industry.
(“hook”)
Then include that “hook” in your content.
Last year I noticed bloggers writing more about voice search.
I noticed something else too:
When people write about voice searches, they connect to content showing statistics and data:
So I decided to do a voice search full of statistics:
To date, this single post has 848 backlinks:
And 90% + of these backlinks cite specific statistics from my posts:
That said:
Information is the only “hook” type that you can use to create links to your content.
Another hook that works well right now is Ultimate Guides.
When you publish your ultimate guide, the hook.
I will explain with examples …
A few years back I published The Definitive Guide about Link Building.
It is (and still is) the most complete guide to building links out there.
This is an interesting thing …
Blogger periodically mentions “link building” on the blog.
But they don’t have room to cover all topics
Therefore the link to my suggestions for readers to learn more:
Very cool
Step # 5: Optimize for on-page SEO
This step involves keyword optimization for your content for SEO.
There is more to on-page SEO than I can cover in a single post.
So if you want to learn more about optimizing your content for video SEO, this may help.
That said, here are the three page SEO techniques I would like to focus on in 2020.
Internal linking
Yes, internal links are still available.
But you have to do it correctly
In particular, you want to link from a page of high authority with a page that needs permission.
(And use anchor text with many keywords in your internal links)
For example, I published on my client website about Google Search Console Guide earlier this year.
So I found a page on my website that has many rights …
… and link from that page to my new guide.
easy
Short code URL with many keywords.
The analysis of our 1 million Google search results found something that surprised many people:
When it comes to search engine optimization, short URLs will crush long URLs.
That’s why I created my entire URL for my keywords …
… or my target keyword, plus one more:
Both methods work.
SEO meaning
Finally, I Optimized My Content for Semantic SEO
In other words:
I searched for words related to my targeted keywords.
Then I use those words in my content.
Here are the deets:
First, turn your search query into Google Images.
And Google will provide words and phrases that are closely related to that topic:
Secondly, type the same keyword in Google’s regular search and scroll down to the section. “Searches related to …”
Finally, sprinkle those words on your content:
And you have set
Step # 6: Tailored for search intent
In other words: The Skyscraper Technique 2.0
I will show you how this method works quickly.
A few years ago I wrote a post about your website traffic.
It is ok
But it won’t break the top 5 for my targeted keywords (“Increase website traffic”).
And when I analyze the Google homepage, I know why:
My page does not match the search intent for that keyword.
I will explain …
Most content ratings for “increase website traffic” that show specified traffic tips.
But my post gives them a high-level process
This is not a user experience search engine that visitors want. So I re-wrote my content to match the search terms for this keyword’s intent.
Specifically, I changed my process to a post list:
And now my content matches Search Intent. It is ranked in the top 3 for my targeted keywords:
Which leads to a 70.43% increase in search engine traffic compared to previous posts:
That said:
You can (and should) publish your content with intent searches in mind as soon as you get out the door.
That’s what I did with my latest post: The Ultimate SEO Audit.
I see that most of the content rankings for “SEO inspections” show non-technical steps.
So I combine some simple strategies that everyone can use:
(This attracts people so they won’t bounce back to search results)
And this Intent Search optimization (and the Domain Authority of my website) helped my post to break the Google homepage within a month.
Step # 7: Make your content look great
The design may be the least invaluable part of content marketing.
You can have the best content ever written.
But if it’s like this …
… it won’t work.
That’s why I invested time and money in content design.
For example, you may see my clear instructions:
These suggestions are designed and coded 100% from scratch using WordPress.
(Which makes it very expensive to do)
That said:
Designing great content doesn’t have to break the bank.
In fact, there are 4 types of visual content that are easy to pull out.
Graphs and charts
These works are great. I try to include at least one chart in every post.
why?
Because it makes information that is difficult to understand
For example, use this statistic from my mobile SEO guide.
I don’t know about you But I have a hard time imagining what 27.8 billion
Therefore, I have our designers create good charts.
As a bonus, sometimes people will use your chart in a blog post … and link back to you:
Screenshots and images
You may notice that I use many screenshots in every post.
In fact, one post has 78 screenshots:
Must be clear:
I will not use screenshots for the purpose of using screenshots.
I use them only when it helps someone take a specific step.
For example, these screenshots are made in 2 steps from this guide for easy follow:
That said:
The screenshots are appropriate when you describe something technical.
If you are in a non-technical niche … like fitness
Pictures used for the same purpose
For example, my friend Steve Kamb at Nerd Fitness uses images to show how to exercise properly:
Blog post banner
Unlike graphs and screen images, banners of blog posts are not intended for real use.
They look cool 🙂
I use 220×200 images that are right-aligned depending on the post.
… or a giant your ads banner at the top of the post:
Graphics and visualization
Graphs and data visualizations are like charts.
But instead of being visualized, they visualize the concept
Must be clear:
These things don’t have to be fancy.
For example, in this post I explain how all 4 versions of your website should be redirected to the same URL:
This is not rocket science.
But it’s hard to imagine this idea in your mind.
Therefore, our designers create simple images that make this concept easy to understand.
Step # 8: Create a link to your page
It’s time to create a link to your content.
Specifically, we will enter 3 link building strategies that work very well now.
Broken Link Building
Here you will find a broken link on someone’s website …
… and offer your content instead
For example, here is a press release email I sent to Blogger on the marketing channel:
(Note that I am specific, I do not say “Please consider linking to me in a blog post” I have a specific place on the specific page where my link is valid)
And since I helped that person out before asking for anything, they were happy to add my link:
Competitor analysis
This strategy is an old school.
But it still works
First, find a site that is ranked for the keywords that you want to rank.
For example, I try to rank the keyword “SEO check.”
So I grabbed this result from the homepage …
… and see their backlinks
I see that this page has links from 160 domains:
So I should get the same links that they have at least.
In doing so, I went one by one through their backlinks.
And searching for pages on my link will add value
For example, this post describes Ahrefs content by name:
There’s no reason to link to my post. So I moved on to the next opportunity on the list.
And I found this post:
At this time, links to Ahrefs are part of a large resource list.
The list will be better and more complete with links to my SEO check post.
Religious teaching methods
This strategy is not about links … and much more about making your content in front of the right people.
(Specifically: people who use blogs on your channel)
I will explain how this strategy works with examples …
In the past, I wanted to promote a case study of a new skyscraper technique.
So I use BuzzSumo to see who shared the latest content on The Skyscraper technique.
And send the form of this template to everyone via email:
And when they answer that “I will definitely try.” I sent a link to the post:
(Note that I will not ask to share it. This is the judo movement that makes your work stand out)
Which led to dozens of shares to post my brand:
Step 9: Check grammar and spelling for your content.
After you finish writing you will need to check the grammar and spelling for your content.
Test grammar and spelling for your content. , You can use the following grammar and spelling tools. The following are some of the best spelling and grammar checkers.
Grammar Top-of-the-line grammar checker for Google Docs, Grammarly not only because of its effectiveness but also because it comes for free.
- Reverse.
- Ginger Software.
- Whitesmock.
- Language tool.
- Hemingway editor.
- Paper.
- ProWritingAid.
Step 10: Improve and update your content
It’s working amazingly well right now.
You may have read about when I relaunched content to boost my organic traffic by 260.7%.
Content Relaunching Post
And I’m happy to tell you that this approach still works.
For example, last year I re-launched this list of SEO techniques.
SEO Techniques – Post
But I haven’t reposted the same content yet and called it “new.”
Instead, I removed the old screenshots and images:
Screenshots removed
New strategies added:
Added a new strategy
And deleted strategies that no longer work:
The old tactics have been deleted
Result?
62.60% increase in organic traffic to this page:
The result of an increase in organic traffic
