Hungry for spaghetti and meatballs? If you type “Italian restaurants near me” into your browser, dinner is just a click away. Whether your business serves pasta or provides consulting services, you need to know what keywords customers are using when they search for your site. Using the right keywords for your posts and pages is essential if you want to be found online. The right keywords will improve your search engine optimization (SEO). So, how do you know what the best keywords are? Read on to learn more!
Why should you optimize for search engines?
Creating a website is not just about making it attractive to visitors. You should also ensure that visitors can find your site. Research shows that less than 1 percent of searchers using Google make it past the first page and more than half never scroll below the first three results on the first page. So, what should you do? Optimize your posts and pages for search engines!
There are several ways to optimize your website, but all of them boil down to creating quality content for your audience and making sure they have a great experience while browsing your site. Improve your site speed, have a well-structured website, and write high-quality content that your audience wants to read. And make sure you use the right keywords.
How to Find the Best SEO Keywords for Your Website Ranking?
As we mentioned, you need to know what keywords your customers use when searching for you. That has why you should always do keyword research before choosing keywords. You can increase your chances of ranking high by using long-tail keywords. They consist of more than one word and are often searched for less than obvious and popular keywords. However, being less popular also means less competition. Which in turn has a better chance of ranking higher.
For example, a person might type in “veterinarian.” This may mean they are looking for a new vet. We don’t know for sure. However, a person who types in “veterinarians in Boston who treat feline diabetes” is looking for a specific solution to their problem and likely needs a vet soon. If you target long-tail keywords, your chances of connecting with searchers who are ready to take action are high.
Helpful tools
If you are having trouble proposing long-tail keywords, we recommend using one of the following tools to help you:
Google AdWords Keyword Planner
Google AdWords Keyword Planner is a great tool if you want to find new and relevant keywords. However, you should ignore search volume data! This data is only useful for the keywords you are going to spend money on advertising for. Be aware that you need to sign up for an AdWords account. However, you do not need to invest in any paid advertising.
Tip: If this is your first time using Google AdWords Keyword Planner, read Razor Social’s Ultimate Guide to Keyword Planner. The author explains how to access the data needed to perform keyword research and narrow your research field to increase your competitive advantage.
Google Trends
Relevant content is timely, helpful, and interesting. Google Trends is a great place to start when you’re looking for blog topics and informative tidbits to keep your followers up to date. Choose from the business, health, tech, entertainment, and sports categories to find the perfect keywords for your business or industry.
Moreover, Google Trends allows you to compare traffic for different keywords. You can even see differences between keywords by geographic region.
SEMrush Keyword Research Tool
SEMrush has a useful overview tool that allows you to track the metrics of any keyword in their database. It shows search volume, search intent, variants, and even which queries the keyword appears in! You can also get inspiration from real ads based on your desired keywords. In conclusion: the SEMrush keyword research tool will give you valuable insights to help you find keywords to optimize your website and write content.

Get to page #1 on Google and your business (and life) may never look the same again.
But people will tell you that SEO is complicated to do. Search engine optimization of the website is easy if you know what you are doing…
What if an SEO checklist was as easy to follow? Here is an Introduction to SEO Checklist. The SEO Checklist is a step-by-step framework that helps you take action and climb the Google rankings faster. This is the comprehensive SEO guide you need to get your website to page #1 of Google.
Free-flowing organic traffic is a beautiful thing. To appreciate the power of SEO, think about what your potential customer is doing when they are using Google…
They are not mindless scrolling through social media.
They’re not reading gossip about their friends.
And they are not busy with any other work.
No, it has quite the opposite.
They have stopped what they are doing. They have typed (or spoken) a search query into Google. However, they’re seeking your help.
SEO is all about appearing on your website in the Google search engine. So, you can give that person the help they need (which eventually your product or service).
How to Get your website on the first page of Google Search?
Therefore, an SEO checklist will help you enhance your website so that you get more organic traffic from it.
Several statistics show why
Being on the initial page of Google is worth your effort.
91% of adults use search engines to find information.
(They should locate your site).
Google leads the way in search with over 90% of the market (which is about 5.8 billion searches per day).
Approximately 95% of searchers only look at the first page of Google (let us help you get there).
The top organic search result in Google is clicked over 30% of the time.
Moving up one position in search results can increase click-through rates by over 30%.
46% of all searches are for local information.
This is great if your patrons are local
People also see top-rated sites as more reliable (and trust leads to higher conversion rates). So, ranking high in Google is the holy grail of marketing. But maybe something is stopping you from grabbing this SEO opportunity with both hands.
You have attempted this before with minimal success
I have done SEO before, but have witnessed no results from my hard work. So I quit. You are a skeptic; I hear you. But listen… So, you should not stop being healthy just because a diet or exercise regimen is not working. Likewise, you should not quit ranking high on Google. Getting to number one in Google is not the problem, it’s just the way you tried to get there. With the right guide, you can climb Mount Google.
You may think SEO is old news
SEO is like email marketing, old news to old-fashioned marketers. Social media is where the action is these days. So, you’ll often hear that “SEO is dead”. But never from someone who has on the first page of Google (they are too busy making money). Like email marketing, SEO generates a high return on investment. Therefore, the reality is that search engines aren’t going away. They are a basic tool in life, helping us find the information we need. So knowing how to capture that search traffic is an incredibly valuable skill.
You’re not sure what you’re doing. I never fully learned SEO or created a process. And because I’m always so busy, life gets busy and SEO takes a back seat. This is a legitimate concern. If you’re not sure what you’re doing or don’t have a system in place yet, the idea of climbing Mount Google is daunting. Being overwhelmed and discouraged are real dangers. So without an SEO system, it’s no wonder you’re finding it difficult. The truth is, without a step-by-step guide to guide you, it’s easy to get lost and waste time.
But you have no time to waste. Also, you need a proven system that helps you get the SEO results you’ve always wanted. You need an SEO checklist. The SEO Checklist is a collection of resources to help you get your website on the first page of Google. You’re getting practical guides and proven methods, covering everything you need to think about.
Important: This is not some quick SEO theory from someone who has never ranked a website. I’ve gotten websites to rank #1 in Google and built very successful businesses because of it. Here’s just a glimpse of the incredible information that is also contained in the SEO Checklist Bundle…

Help Google find your content
The first step to getting your site on Google is to be sure that Google can find it. The best way to do that is to submit a sitemap. A sitemap is a file on your site that tells search engines about new or changed pages on your site. Learn more about how to build and submit a sitemap.
Google also finds pages through links from other pages. Learn how to encourage people to discover your site by promoting your site.
Tell Google which pages you don’t want to be crawled
For non-sensitive information, block unwanted crawling by using robots.txt
Robots.txt file tells search engines whether they can access and therefore crawl parts of your site. This file, which must be named robots.txt, is placed in the root directory of your site. It is possible that pages blocked by robots.txt can still be crawled, so for sensitive pages, use a more secure method.
# brandonsbaseballcards.com/robots.txt
# Tell Google not to crawl any URLs in the shopping cart or images in the icons folder,
# because they won’t be useful in Google Search results.
User-agent: googlebot
Disallow: /checkout/
Disallow: /icons/
You may not want certain pages of your site crawled because they might not be useful to users if found in a search engine’s search results. Note that if your site uses sub-domains and you wish to have certain pages not crawled on a particular sub-domain, you’ll have to create a separate robots.txt file for that sub-domain. For more information on robots.txt, we suggest this guide on using robots.txt files.
Letting your internal search result pages be crawled by Google. Users dislike clicking a search engine result only to land on another search result page on your site.
Allowing URLs created because of proxy services to be crawled.
For sensitive information, use more secure methods
Robots.txt file is not an appropriate or effective way of blocking sensitive or confidential material. It only instructs well-behaved crawlers that the pages are not for them, but it does not prevent your server from delivering those pages to a browser that requests them. One reason is that search engines could still reference the URLs you block (showing just the URL, no title link or snippet) if there are links to those URLs somewhere on the Internet (like referred logs). Also, non-compliant or rogue search engines that don’t acknowledge the Robots Exclusion Standard could disobey the instructions of your robots.txt. Finally, a curious user could examine the directories or subdirectories in your robots.txt file and guess the URL of the content that you don’t want to see.
In these cases, use the noindex tag if you just want the page not to appear in Google, but don’t mind if any user with a link can reach the page. For proper security, use proper authorization methods, like requiring a user password, or taking the page off your site entirely.
Help Google (and users) understand your content
Let Google sees your page the same way a user does
When Googlebot crawls a page, it should see the page the same way an average user does. For optimal rendering and indexing, always allow Google access to the JavaScript, CSS, and image files used by your website. If your site’s robots.txt file disallows the crawling of these assets, it directly harms how well our algorithms render and index your content. This can cause suboptimal rankings.
Recommended action: Use the URL Inspection tool. It will allow you to see exactly how Google sees and renders your content, and it will help you identify and fix several indexing issues on your site.
Create unique, accurate page titles
An <title> element tells both users and search engines what a particular page is. Place the <title> all elements within the <head> element of the HTML document, and create unique title text for each page on your site.
<html>
<head>
<title>Free consultation for SEO and Web Development</title>
<meta name=“description” content=“Free consultation for Web SEO and Web Development Services. Shakardara offers web development, Google SEO, content writing, and Virtual Assistant services”>
</head>
<body>
...
Control your title links and snippets in search results
If your document appears on a search results page, the contents of the <title> element may appear as the title link for the search result (if you’re unfamiliar with the different parts of a Google Search result, check out the anatomy of a search result video).
The <title> element for your homepage can list the name of your website or business and could include other bits of important information, like the physical location of the business or maybe a few of its primary focuses or offerings.
Accurately describe the page’s content
Choose title text that reads naturally and effectively communicates the page’s content.
Avoid:
Using text in the <title> element that has no relation to the content on the page.
Using default or vague text like “Untitled” or “New Page 1”.
Create unique <title> elements for each page
Make sure each page on your site has unique text in the <title> element, which helps Google know how the page is distinct from the others on your site. If your site uses separate mobile pages, remember to use descriptive text in the <title> elements on the mobile versions, too.
Avoid:
Using a single title in all <title> elements across your site’s pages or a large group of pages.
Use brief, but descriptive <title> elements
<title> elements can be both short and informative. If the text in the <title> element is too long or otherwise deemed less relevant, Google may show only a portion of the text in your <title> element, or a title link that’s automatically generated in the search result.
Avoid:
Using extremely lengthy text in <title> elements that are unhelpful to users.
Stuffing unneeded keywords in your <title> element.
Use the meta description tag
A page’s meta description tag gives Google and other search engines a summary of what the page is about. A page’s title may be a few words or a phrase, whereas a page’s meta description tag might be a sentence or two or even a brief paragraph. Like the <title> element, the meta description tag is placed within the <head> element of your HTML document.

What are the merits of meta-description tags?
Meta description tags are important because Google might use them as snippets for your pages in Google Search results. Note that we say “might” because Google may choose to use a relevant section of your page’s visible text if it does a good job of matching up with a user’s query. Adding meta description tags to each of your pages is always a good practice in case Google cannot find an excellent selection of text to use in the snippet. Learn more about how to create quality meta descriptions.
Accurately summarize the page content
Write a description that would both inform and interest users if they saw your meta description tag as a snippet in a search result. While there’s no minimal or maximal length for the text in a description meta tag, we recommend making sure that it’s long enough to be fully shown in Search (note that users may see different-sized snippets depending on how and where they search), and contains all the relevant information users would need to determine whether the page will be useful and relevant to them.
Avoid:
Writing a meta description tag that has no relation to the content on the page.
Use generic descriptions like “This is a web page” or “Page about baseball cards”.
Filling the description with only keywords.
Copying and pasting the entire content of the document into the meta description tag.
Use unique descriptions for each page
Having a different meta description tag for each page helps both users and Google, especially in searches where users may bring up multiple pages on your domain (for example, searches using the site: operator). If your site has thousands or even millions of pages, hand-crafting meta description tags probably aren’t workable. Here, you could auto-generate meta description tags based on each page’s content.
Avoid:
Using a single meta description tag across all of your site’s pages or a large group of pages.
Use heading tags to emphasize important text
Use meaningful headings to show important topics and help create a hierarchical structure for your content, making it easier for users to navigate through your document.
Imagine you’re writing an outline
Similar to writing an outline for a large paper, put some thought into what the main points and sub-points of the content on the page will be and decide where to use heading tags appropriately.
Avoid:
Placing text in heading tags that wouldn’t help define the structure of the page.
Using heading tags, where other tags like <em> and <strong> may be more appropriate.
Erratically moving from one heading tag size to another.
Use headings sparingly across the page
Use heading tags where it makes sense. Too many heading tags on a page can make it hard for users to scan the content and determine where one topic ends and another begins.
Avoid:
Excessive use of heading tags on a page.
Very long headings.
Using heading tags only for styling text and not presenting structure.
Add structured data markup
Structured data is code that you can add to your sites’ pages to describe your content to search engines, so they can better understand what’s on your pages. Search engines can use this understanding to display your content in useful (and eye-catching) ways in search results. That can help you attract just the right customers for your business.
For example, if you’ve got an online store and mark up an individual product page, this helps us understand the page features a bike, its price, and customer reviews. We may display that information in the snippet for search results for relevant queries. We call these rich results.
In addition to using structured data markup for rich results, we may use it to serve relevant results in other formats. For instance, if you’ve got a brick-and-mortar store, marking up the opening hours allows your potential customers to find you exactly when they need you, and inform them if your store is open/closed at the time of searching.
We recommend you use structured data with any of the supported notations markups to describe your content. You can add the markup to the HTML code to your pages, or use tools like Data Highlighter and Markup Helper.
Check your markup using the Rich Results Test
Once you’ve marked up your content, you can use the Google Rich Results test to make sure that there are no mistakes in the implementation. You can either enter the URL where the content is or copy the actual HTML, which includes the markup.
Avoid:
Using invalid markup.
Use Data Highlighter and Markup Helper
If you want to give structured markup a try without changing the source code of your site, you can use Data Highlighter, which is a tool integrated into Search Console that supports a subset of content types.
If you’d like to get the markup code ready to copy and paste to your page, try the Markup Helper.
Avoid:
Changing the source code of your site when you are unsure about implementing markup.
Keep track of how your marked-up pages are doing
The various Rich result reports in Search Console show you how many pages on your site we’ve detected with a specific type of markup, how many times they appeared in search results, and how many times people clicked on them over the past 90 days. It also shows any errors we’ve detected.
Avoid:
Adding markup data that is not visible to users.
Creating fake reviews or adding irrelevant markups.
Organize your site hierarchy and understand funders how search engines use URLs
Search engines need a unique URL per piece of content to crawl and index that content, and to refer users to it. Different content (for example, different products in a shop), as well as changed content (for example, translations or regional variations), need to use separate URLs to be shown in search appropriately.
Google recommends all websites use https:// when possible. The hostname is where your website is hosted, commonly using the same domain name that you’d use for email. Google differentiates between the www and non-www versions(for example, www.example.com or just example.com). When adding your website to Search Console, we recommend adding both the http:// and https:// versions, as well as the www and non-www versions.
Path, filename, and query string determine which content from your server is accessed. These three parts are case-sensitive, so FILE would cause a different URL than the file. The hostname and protocol are case-insensitive; the upper or lower case wouldn’t play a role there.
A fragment (in this case, #info) identifies which part of the page the browser scrolls to. Because the content itself is usually the same regardless of the fragment, search engines commonly ignore any fragment used.
When referring to the homepage, a trailing slash after the hostname is optional since it leads to the same content (https://example.com/ is the same as https://example.com). For the path and filename, a trailing slash would be seen as a different URL (signaling either a file or a directory), for example, https://example.com/fish is not the same as https://example.com/fish/.
Navigation is important for search engines
The navigation of a website is important in helping visitors quickly find the content they want. It can also help search engines understand what content the website owner thinks is important. Although Google’s search results are provided at a page level, Google also likes to have a sense of what role a page plays in the bigger picture of the site.
Plan your navigation based on your homepage
All sites have a home or root page, which is usually the most frequented page on the site and the starting place of navigation for many visitors. Unless your site has only a handful of pages, think about how visitors will go from a general page (your root page) to a page containing more specific content. Do you have enough pages around a specific topic area that it would make sense to create a page describing these related pages (for example, root page -> related topic listing -> specific topic)? Do you have hundreds of different products that need to be classified under multiple category and subcategory pages?
Using breadcrumb lists
A breadcrumb is a row of internal links at the top or bottom of the page that allows visitors to quickly navigate back to a previous section or the root page. Many breadcrumbs have the most general page (usually the root page) as the first, leftmost link and list the more specific sections out to the right. We recommend using breadcrumb structured data markup when showing breadcrumbs.
Create a simple navigational page for users
A navigational page is a simple page on your site that displays the structure of your website and usually consists of a hierarchical listing of the pages on your site. Visitors may visit this page if they are having problems finding pages on your site. While search engines will also visit this page, getting good crawl coverage of the pages on your site, it’s mainly aimed at human visitors.
Create a naturally flowing hierarchy
Make it as easy as possible for users to go from general content to the more specific content they want on your site. Add navigation pages when it makes sense and effectively works these into your internal link structure. Make sure all the pages on your site are reachable through links, and that they don’t require an internal search functionality to be found. Link to related pages, where appropriate, to allow users to discover similar content.
Avoid:
Creating a complex web of navigation links, for example, linking every page on your site to every other page.
Going overboard with slicing and dicing your content (so that it takes twenty clicks to reach from the homepage).
Use text for navigation
Controlling most of the navigation from page to page on your site through text links makes it easier for search engines to crawl and understand your site. When using JavaScript to create a page, use an element with URLs as href attribute values, and generate all menu items on page-load, instead of waiting for user interaction.
Avoid:
Having a navigation based entirely on images, or animations.
Create a navigational page for users, a sitemap for search engines
Include a simple navigational page for your entire site (or the most important pages, if you have hundreds or thousands) for users. Create an XML sitemap file to ensure that search engines discover the new and updated pages on your site, listing all relevant URLs together with their primary content’s last changed dates.
Avoid:
Letting your navigational page become out of date with broken links.
Creating a navigational page that simply lists pages without organizing them, for example by subject.
Show useful 404 pages
Users will occasionally come to a page that doesn’t exist on your site, either by following a broken link or typing in the wrong URL. Having a custom 404 page that kindly guides users back to a working page on your site can improve a user’s experience. Consider including a link back to your root page and providing links to popular or related content on your site. You can use Google Search Console to find the sources of URLs causing “not found” errors.
Avoid:
Allowing your 404 pages to be indexed in search engines (make sure that your web server is configured to give a 404 HTTP status code or—with JavaScript-based sites—include the noindex tag when non-existent pages are requested).
Blocking 404 pages from being crawled through the robots.txt file.
Providing only a vague message like “Not found”, “404”, or no 404 page at all.
Using a design for your 404 pages that isn’t consistent with the rest of your site.
Simple URLs convey content information
Creating descriptive categories and filenames for the documents on your website not only helps you keep your site better organized, but can also create easier, friendlier URLs for those that want to link to your content. Visitors may be intimidated by extremely long and cryptic URLs that contain a few recognizable words.
URLs like the following can confuse and unfriendly:
Last, remember that the URL to a document is usually displayed in some form in a Google Search result near the document title.
Google is good at crawling many URL structures, even if they’re quite complex, but spending the time to make your URLs as simple as possible is a good practice.
Use words in URLs
URLs with words that apply to your site’s content and structure are friendlier for visitors navigating your site.
Avoid:
Using lengthy URLs with unnecessary parameters and session IDs.
Choosing generic page names like page1.html.
Using excessive keywords like baseball-cards-baseball-cards-baseballcards.html.
Create a simple directory structure
Use a directory structure that organizes your content well and makes it easy for visitors to know where they’re on your site. Try using your directory structure to show the type of content found at that URL.
Avoid:
Having a deposition of subdirectories like .../dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4/dir5/dir6/page.html.
Using directory names that have no relation to the content in them.
Provide one version of a URL to reach a document
To prevent users from linking to one version of a URL and others linking to a different version (this could split the reputation of that content between the URLs), focus on using and referring to one URL in the structure and internal linking of your pages. If you find people are accessing the same content through multiple URLs, setting up a 301 redirect from non-preferred URLs to the dominant URL is a suitable solution for this. If you cannot redirect, you may also use the rel="canonical" link element.
Avoid:
Having pages from sub-domains and the root directory access the same content, for example, domain.com/page.html and sub.domain.com/page.html.
Optimize your content Makemake
Make your site interesting and useful
Creating interesting and useful content will probably influence your website more than any of the other factors discussed here. Users know good content when they see it and will probably want to direct other users to it. This could be through blog posts, social media services, email, forums, or other means.
Organic or word-of-mouth buzz helps build your site’s reputation with both users and Google, and it rarely comes without quality content.
Know what your readers want (and give it to them)
Think about the words that a user might search for to find a piece of your content. Users who know a lot about the topic might use different keywords in their search queries than someone new to the topic. For example, a long-time football fan might search for “FIFA”, an acronym for The Federation Internationale de Football Association, while a new fan might use a more general query like “football playoffs”. Anticipating these differences in search behavior and accounting for them while writing your content (using a good mix of keyword phrases) could produce positive results. Google Ads provides a handy Keyword Planner that helps you discover new keyword variations and see the approximate search volume for each keyword. Also, Google Search Console provides you with the top search queries your site appears for and the ones that led the most users to your site in the Performance Report.
Consider creating a new, useful service that no other site offers. You could also write an original piece of research, break an exciting news story, or leverage your unique user base. Other sites may lack the resources or expertise to do these things.
Write easy-to-read text
Users enjoy content that is well-written and easy to follow.
Avoid:
Writing sloppy text with many spelling and grammatical mistakes.
Awkward or poorly written content.
Embedding text in images and videos for textual content: users may want to copy and paste the text and search engines can’t read it.
Organize your topics clearly
It’s always beneficial to organize your content so that visitors have a good sense of where one content topic begins and another ends. Breaking your content up into logical chunks or divisions helps users find the content they want faster.
Avoid:
Dumping large amounts of text on varying topics onto a page without paragraph, subheading, or layout separation.
Create fresh, unique content
New content will not only keep your existing visitor base coming back but also bring in recent visitors.
Avoid:
Rehashing (or even copying) existing content will bring little extra value to users.
Having duplicate or near-duplicate versions of your content across your site.
Users feel comfortable visiting your site if they feel that it’s trustworthy.
A site with an excellent reputation is trustworthy. Cultivate a reputation for expertise and trustworthiness in a specific area. Provide information about who publishes your site, provides the content, and its goals. If you have a shopping or other financial transaction website, make sure you have clear and satisfying customer service information to help users resolve issues. If you have a news site, provide simple information about who handles the content.
Using appropriate technologies is also important. If a shopping checkout page doesn’t have a secure connection, users cannot trust the site.
Make expertise and authoritativeness clear
Expertise and authoritativeness of a site increase its quality. Be sure that content on your site is created or edited by people with expertise in the topic. For example, providing expert or experienced sources can help users understand the articles’ expertise. Representing well-established consensus in pages on scientific topics is a good practice if such consensus exists.
Provide an appropriate amount of content for your subject
Creating high-quality content takes a significant amount of at least: time, effort, expertise, and talent/skill. Make sure the content is factually accurate, clearly written, and comprehensive. So, for example, if you describe your page as a recipe, provide a complete recipe that is easy to follow, rather than just a set of ingredients or a basic description of the dish.
Avoid:
Providing insufficient content for the page.
Avoid distracting advertisements
We expect advertisements to be visible. However, don’t let the advertisements distract users or prevent them from consuming the site content. For example, advertisements, supplement contents, or interstitial pages (pages displayed before or after the content you are expecting) make it difficult to use the website. Learn more about this topic.
Avoid:
Putting distracting advertisements on your pages.
Use links wisely
Write good link text
Link text is the visible text inside a link. This text tells users and Google something about the page you’re linking to. Links on your page may be internal—pointing to other pages on your site—or external, leading to content on other sites. In either of these cases, the better your anchor text is, the easier it is for users to navigate and for Google to understand what the page you’re linking to is about.
With anchor text, users and search engines can easily understand what the linked pages contain.
Choose descriptive text
Write anchor text that provides at least a basic idea of what the page linked to is about.
Avoid:
Writing generic anchor text like “page”, “article”, or “click here”.
Using text that is off-topic or has no relation to the content of the page linked to.
Using the page’s URL as the anchor text in most cases, although there are certainly legitimate uses of this, such as promoting or referencing a new website’s address.
Write concise text
Aim for a short but descriptive text-usually a few words or a short phrase.
Avoid:
Writing long anchor text, such as a lengthy sentence or brief paragraph of text.
Format links so they’re easy to spot
Make it easy for users to distinguish between regular text and the anchor text of your links. Your content becomes less useful if users miss the links or accidentally click them.
Avoid:
Using CSS or text styling that makes links look just like regular text.
Think about anchor text for internal links too
You may usually think about linking to point to outside websites, but paying more attention to the anchor text used for internal links can help users and Google navigate your site better.
Avoid:
Using excessively keyword-filled or lengthy anchor text just for search engines.
Creating unnecessary links that don’t help with the user’s navigation of the site.
Be careful who you link to
You can confer some of your site’s reputation to another site when your site links to it. Sometimes users can take advantage of this by adding links to their site in your comment sections or message boards. Or sometimes you might mention a site negatively and don’t want to confer any of your reputation on it. For example, imagine that you’re writing a blog post on comment spamming and you want to call out a site that recently comment-spammed your blog. You want to warn others of the site, so you include the link to it in your content; however, you certainly don’t want to give the site some of your reputation from your link. This would be a good time to use nofollow.
Another example when the nofollow attribute can come in handy is widget links. If you are using a third-party’s widget to enrich the experience of your site and engage users, check if it contains any links that you did not intend to place on your site along with the widget. Some widgets may add links to your site, which are not your editorial choice and contain anchor text that you as a website owner may not control. If removing such unwanted links from the widget is not possible, you can always disable them with nofollow. If you create a widget for functionality or content that you provide, include the nofollow on links in the default code snippet.
Last, if you’re interested in not following all the links on a page, you can add the tag <meta name="robots" content="nofollow"> inside the <head> tag for the page. You can find more details about robot meta tags in our documentation.
Combat comment spam with nofollow
To tell Google not to follow or pass your page’s reputation to the pages linked, set the value of the rel attribute of a link to nofollow or a link means adding rel="nofollow" or a more specific attribute such as UGCGC in UGC the link’s anchor tag, as shown here:
<a href="http://www.example.com" rel="nofollow">Anchor text here</a>
or:
<a href="http://www.example.com" rel="Anchor text here</a>
When would this be useful? If your site has a blog with public commenting turned on, links within those comments could pass your reputation to pages that you may not be comfortable vouching for. Blog comment areas on pages are highly susceptible to comment spam. Not following these user-added links ensures that you’re not giving your page’s hard-earned reputation to a spammy site.
Automatically add nofollow to comment columns and message boards
Many blogging software packages automatically nofollow user comments, but those that don’t can most likely be manually edited to do this. This advice also goes for other areas of your site that may involve user-generated content, such as guest books, forums, shout-boards, referred listings, etc. If you’re willing to vouch for links added by third parties (for example, if a commenter is trusted on your site), then there’s no need to use nofollow on links; however, linking to sites that Google considers spammy can affect the reputation of your site. The Google Search Central documentation has more tips on avoiding comment spam, for example by using CAPTCHAs and turning on comment moderation.
Optimize your images
Use HTML images
Use HTML image elements to embed images in your content.
Use the HTML <img> or <picture> elements
Semantic HTML markup helps crawlers find and process images. By using the <picture> element, you can also specify multiple options for different screen sizes for responsive images. You might also use the loading="lazy" attribute on images to make your page load faster for your users.
Avoid:
Using CSS to display images you want us to index.
Use the alt attribute
Provide a descriptive filename and alt attribute description of images. The alt attribute allows you to specify alternative text for the image if it cannot be displayed.
Why use this attribute? If a user is viewing your site using assistive technologies, such as a screen reader, the contents of the alt attribute provide information about the picture.
Another reason is that if you’re using an image as a link, the alt text for that image will be treated similarly to the anchor text of a text link. However, we don’t recommend using too many images for links in your site’s navigation when text links could serve the same purpose. Last, optimizing your image filenames and alt text makes it easier for image search projects like Google Images to better understand your images.
Use brief but descriptive filenames and alt text
Like many other parts of the page targeted for optimization, filenames and alt text are best when they’re short but descriptive.
Avoid:
Use generic filenames like image1.jpg, pic.gif, and 1.jpg when possible—if your site has thousands of images, consider automating the naming of the images.
Writing extremely lengthy filenames.
Stuffing keywords into alt text or copying and pasting entire sentences.
Supply alt text when using images as links
If you decide to use an image as a link, filling out its alt text helps Google understand more about the page you’re linking to. Imagine that you’re writing anchor text for a text link.
Avoid:
Writing excessively long alt text that would be spammy.
Using only image links for your site’s navigation.
Help search engines find your images
An Image sitemap can provide Google with more information about the images found on your site. This increases the likelihood that your images can be found in Google Images results. The structure of this file is like the XML sitemap file for your web pages.
Use standard image formats
Use commonly supported file types; most browsers support JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, and W, web image formats. It’s also a good idea to have the extension of your filename match the file type.
Make your site mobile-friendly
The world is mobile today. Most people are searching on Google using a mobile device. The desktop version of a site might be difficult to view and use on a mobile device. As a result, having a mobile-ready site is critical to your online presence. Starting in late 2016, Google has begun experiments to primarily use the mobile version of a site’s content for ranking, parsing structured data, and generating snippets.
Understand the difference between devices
Smartphone – In this document, “mobile” or “mobile devices” refers to smartphones, such as devices running Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone. Mobile browsers are like desktop browsers in that they can render a broad set of the HTML5 specification, although their screen size is smaller and, in almost all cases their default orientation is vertical.
Tablet – We consider tablets as devices in their class, so when we speak of mobile devices, we rarely include tablets in the definition. Tablets have larger screens, so, unless you offer tablet-optimized content, you can assume that users expect to see your site as it would look on a desktop browser rather than on a smartphone browser.
Multimedia phone – These are phones with browsers that can render pages coded to meet XHTML standards, and support HTML5 Markup, and JavaScript/Conscript but might not support some of the extension APIs in the HTML5 standard. This describes the browser in most 3G-ready phones that are not smartphones.
Feature phones – On these phones, browsers lack normal desktop web pages coded using standard HTML. This includes browsers that render only cHTML (iMode), WML, XHTML-MP, etc.
Our recommendations are geared toward smartphones, but we encourage multimedia and phone site owners to follow the same advice where they feel appropriate.
Choose a mobile strategy
There are multiple ways of making your website mobile ready and Google supports different implementation methods:
After you have created a mobile-ready site, you also use Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test to check if pages on your site meet the criteria for being labeled mobile-friendly on Google Search result pages. You can also check out the Search Console Mobile Usability report to fix mobile usability issues affecting your site.
If your site serves lots of static content (like blog posts or product landing pages) across multiple pages, consider implementing it using AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages). It’s a special flavor of HTML that ensures your site stays fast and user-friendly and can be further speeded up by various platforms, including Google Search.
Configure mobile sites so that they can be indexed accurately
Regardless of which configuration you choose to set up your mobile site, note these key points:
If you use Dynamic Serving or have a separate mobile site, signal to Google when a page is formatted for mobile (or has an equivalent page that’s formatted for mobile). This helps Google accurately serve mobile searchers your content in search results.
If you are using Responsive Web Design, use the meta name="viewport" tag to tell the browser how to adjust the content. If you use Dynamic Serving, use the Vary HTTP header to signal your changes depending on the user agent. If you are using separate URLs, signal the relationship between two URLs by adding the <link> tag with rel="canonical" and rel="alternate" elements to the page.
Keep resources crawlable. Blocking page resources can give Google an incomplete picture of your website. This often happens when your robots.txt file is blocking access to some or all of your page resources. If Google doesn’t have access to a page’s resources, such as CSS, JavaScript, or images, we may not detect that it’s built to display and work well on a mobile browser. We may not detect that the page is mobile-friendly, and therefore not properly serve it to mobile searchers.
Avoid common mistakes that frustrate mobile visitors, such as featuring unplayable videos
Mobile pages that provide a poor searcher experience can be demoted in rankings or displayed with a warning in mobile search results. This includes but is not limited to full-page interstitials on mile that hinders user experience.
Provide full functionality on all devices. Mobile users expect the same functionality—such as commenting and check-out—and content on mobile and on all other devices that your website supports. In addition to textual content, make sure that all important images and videos are embedded and accessible on mobile devices. For search engines, provide all structured data and other metadata—such as titles, descriptions, link elements, and other meta-tags—on all versions of the pages.
Make sure that the structured data, images, videos, and metadata you have on your desktop site are also included on the mobile site.
Best Practices
Test your mobile pages with the Mobile-Friendly Test to see if Google thinks your website works well on mobile devices.
If you use separate URLs for your mobile pages, test both the mobile and the desktop URLs, so you can confirm that the redirect is recognized and crawlable.
While most of the links to your site will be added gradually, as people discover your content through search or other ways and link to it, Google understands that you’d like to let others know about the hard work you’ve put into your content. Effectively promoting your new content will lead to faster discovery by those who are interested in the same subject. As with most points covered in this document, taking these recommendations to an extreme could harm the reputation of your site.
A blog post on your site letting your visitor base know you added something new is a great way to get the word out about new content or services. Other website owners who follow your site or RSS feed could pick the story up as well.
Putting effort into the offline promotion of your company or site can also be rewarding. For example, if you have a business site, make sure its URL is listed on your business cards, letterhead, posters, etc. You could also send out recurring newsletters to clients through the mail, letting them know about new content on the company’s website.
If you run a local business, claiming your Business Profile will help you reach customers on Google Maps and Google Search.
Know about social media sites
Sites built around user interaction and sharing have made it easier to match interested groups of people with relevant content.
Avoid
Attempting to promote each new, small piece of content you create; go for big, interesting items.
Reach out to those in your site’s related community
Chances are, several sites cover topic areas similar to yours. Opening up communication with these sites is usually beneficial. Hot topics in your niche or community could spark additional ideas for content or build an excellent community resource.
Avoid:
Spamming link requests out to all sites related to your topic area.
Purchasing links from another site to get PageRank.
Analyzing your search performance
Major search engines, including Google, provide tools for website owners to analyze their performance in their search engines. For Google, that tool is Search Console.
Search Console provides two important categories of information: Can Google find my content? How am I performing in Google Search results?
Using Search Console won’t help your site get preferential treatment; however, it can help you identify issues that, if addressed, can help your site perform better in search results.
With the service, website owners can:
See which parts of a site Googlebot had problems crawling
Test and submit sitemaps
Analyze or generate robots.txt files
Remove URLs already crawled by Googlebot
Specify your preferred domain
Identify issues with title and description meta tags
Understand the top searches used to reach a site
Get a glimpse at how Google sees pages
Receive notifications of spam policy violations and request a site reconsideration
If you’ve improved the crawling and indexing of your site using Google Search Console or other services, you’re probably curious about the traffic coming to your site. Web analytics programs like Google Analytics are a valuable source of insight for this. You can use these to:
Get insight into how users reach and behave on your site
Discover the most popular content on your site
Measure the impact of optimizations you make on your site. For example, changing those title and description meta tags improve traffic from search engines.
For advanced users, the information an analytics package provides, combined with data from your server log files, can provide even more comprehensive information about how visitors are interacting with your documents (such as additional keywords that searchers might use to find your site).

Want to brush up on the basics of SEO, but also learn how to improve your traffic, leads, and sales by adopting a simple framework that has helped our clients earn millions?
SEO Best Practices for Strong Organic Traffic
You need to create content for your website based on keyword research. Here, the SEO best practices are a set of practices designed to help improve a website’s search engine ranking. Common search engine optimization best practices include on-site optimization, keyword research, and building site backlinks.
Put another way:
There are a million things you can do to get higher Google rankings, including top SEO strategies and techniques.
But it’s important to get the basics down first.
You want to make sure that your site follows current SEO best practices. That’s the foundation.
Then, once you get your foundation in place, dive into advanced approaches.
With that, here are the most important SEO best practices you need to know today:
Add Your Main Keyword Early On In Your Content
It’s no secret that you want to use your keyword a handful of times on your page. But you may not know that the location of your keyword also makes a difference. Specifically, you want to mention your main keyword at least once at the top of your page.
Why does this matter in Google SEO?
Google puts more weight on terms that appear at the top of a webpage.
For example, this page on my website is optimized around “mobile SEO”. So I mentioned that term once in the first words of my content.
Simple.
Write Unique Titles, Descriptions, and Content
Avoiding duplicate content is one of the most important SEO practices to keep in mind.
Google says you should avoid “duplicate or near-duplicate versions of your uploaded content on your site.”
Sometimes it’s not possible to use your keyword that early on because it will make your title tag look weird. Yes, search engine optimization is important for your website, but your title tags need to be useful for users too.
(More on that later)
If you’re not able to start your title tag off with a keyword, no biggie. Just include your keyword as early on as you can.
For example, this page is optimized around the keyword “Resources and Location of Shakardara”.
It’s not right in the beginning. But it’s early enough so that Google can see that my page is clearly about “Resources and Location of Shakardara”.
(Also known as “Resources and Location of Shakardara”)
Instead, you want to use one main keyword in your title. And if your page is high-quality, you’ll naturally rank for that keyword… and lots of others.
For example, this page on my site is optimized around the term: “Resources and Location of Shakardara”. as you can see, I use that term in my title tag.
The other words and phrases in my title are just to highlight what my page is actually about. And because my page contains high-quality content, it ranks in the top 5 for my main keyword. According to SEMRush, this page also ranks for different keywords.
Did I optimize my webpage with around 630 keywords? Nope!
Instead, I optimized my page (and title) around ONE important keyword. And Google largely took care of the rest. Write interesting, Shareable Titles: Your title tags should make people want to click on your page to learn more.
Why?
When lots of people click on your result in Google, you can find yourself with higher rankings for that term.
Your result in Google,
Therefore, once my SEO stuff is taken care of, I then start optimizing my title for clicks and shares. I try to write title tags that are interesting, and interesting and push people to share.
Google rarely talks publicly about the ranking factors in its algorithm. So when they talk a lot about a specific ranking signal, you know it’s a big deal. Site loading speed is one of those rare ranking factors. Therefore, I highly recommend making your site load as quickly as possible (Especially on mobile devices.)
Your first step is to benchmark your site’s current loading speed. That way, you know where you’re at before you make changes. I recommend the super-helpful PageSpeed Insights tool.
After all, the recommendations you get from this tool come from Google itself
Plus, it doesn’t just tell you if your page is fast or slow.
The tool gives you a detailed report that includes ways you can improve.
If you want to dig deeper with page speed stuff, check out Web Page Test.
It’s a free tool that gives a more accurate feel of how your site loads to actual users.
Either way, here are a few ways you can improve your site’s loading speed.
Compress Images: This is big. Images make up the bulk of a page’s size (in terms of KB). Therefore I recommend using a tool like Kraken.io to shrink your image sizes.
Use Lightweight Themes: Bulky WordPress themes can slow things down. So if your theme isn’t optimized for speed, consider switching to one that is.
Use Lazy Loading: Lazy loading images can boost your site’s loading speed by 50% or more. The downside is that images show up as users scroll down the page, which isn’t great for UX. So it’s a tradeoff.
Use a CDN:CDNs serve images and other media on your site on servers that are close to your users.
Track Your Results With The Google Search Console
If you don’t have the Google Search Console setup, you’re flying blind with your SEO. The Search Console is like a live dashboard that lets you know how your site is doing in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).
There are a lot of cool features and tools in the Search Console.
But you probably won’t need most of them.
Instead, I recommend checking these 3 reports regularly.
Performance: This data lets you know how many people see and click on your site in Google search.
You can also see the exact keywords that people use to find your content… and where you rank.
Google Search Console–Keywords
This is all super valuable on its own. But the real value is tracking your impressions and clicks over time. If they’re moving on up, it’s clear that these SEO best practices are working.
If not, it may be time to try a different approach.
Coverage: The coverage report lets you know which pages from your site Google have indexed.
It will also let you know if it’s having trouble fully crawling any of your pages.
If you see “errors” and “warnings” here, I recommend fixing these ASAP.
After all, if Google can’t index your page, it won’t rank for anything. Fortunately, Google doesn’t just tell you: “We can’t index this page”. They usually let you know what’s causing the issue.
Enhancements: The main thing to pay attention to in this report is “Mobile Usability”.
Image SEO isn’t just for ranking in Google Images.
Google recently reported that properly optimized images can help your pages rank higher in Google web searches. So if you use images on your page, you want to make sure they’re optimized for SEO.
Fortunately, this is an easy need to do to keep these two images SEO best practices in mind. Name Your Images With Descriptive Filenames: Google can’t “see” images (yet). And your image’s filename is one thing that helps them understand the content in your image.
For example, let’s say you have an image of pancakes on your site. You wouldn’t want to name that image something like:
Instead, use a filename that describes what’s in your image. Use Image Alt Text: Google has said that they largely rely on alt text to understand images. It takes a few extra seconds to write alt text for each image. But in my experience, it’s worth it.
For example, you wouldn’t want your picture of pancakes to have an alt text like this. Just like with your filename, you want to write descriptive alt text that lets search engines know what your image is all about.
Use Internal Linking
Internal linking is one of the easiest SEO best practices to use.
All you need to do is add a link from one page on your site to another page on your site.
Use Internal Linking
That said, you don’t just want to add a bunch of random internal links. Yes, random internal linking is probably better than no internal linking at all. But if you want to get the most out of internal links, I recommend implementing these tips.
Use Keyword-Rich Anchor Text: Google uses your anchor text as a clue to what a page is all about.
For example, the anchor text in these links helps Google understand what each page is about. You want to use anchor text that includes your main keyword.
For example, this internal link is linking to my page about “on-page SEO”. And, as you can see, my internal link’s anchor text has that exact term in it.
Send Authority to Pages That Need It: You want to internally link to pages that have little (if any) link authority. When you do, you’ll send much-needed authority to that low-authority page… which can boost its Google rankings.
With all that said:
I wouldn’t overthink this step. InTendo link from OLD pages to NEW pages.
Old pages have more authority than new pages.
And this little shortcut helps me use internal links without having to analyze every page on my site.
Publish Amazing Content
If you’ve tried to learn SEO before, you’ve probably heard about the importance of “high-quality content”.
And it’s true: publishing original, helpful content can help you rank higher in Google.
The thing is, what most people consider “high-quality content” has changed over the last few years.
I’ll explain:
Back in the day, you could publish a 1,000-word blog post and blow people away.
If you want to rank your content today, your content marketing game needs to be on point. Which usually means an investment of time, money, and staff… or all 3.
Overall, the effort was worth it. It brought in a ton of Web Traffic the week we published the post.
Email Outreach post–Traffic
And people still share the post on social media and link to them from their blogs them. There’s no getting around the fact that creating content that stands out takes a ton of work.
(More work than publishing a bunch of “high-quality content”.) But if you’re willing to publish amazing stuff, you have an excellent shot of ranking in Google for your target keywords.
Build Backlinks To Your Website
Are backlinks still an important Google ranking signal today?
Yup!
A recent study by SEMrush found backlinks were strongly correlated with higher Google rankings.
Here are a few ways you can build links to your site.
First, focus on content formats that do best in terms of backlinks.
“Why Posts”, “What Posts” and Infographics are linked heavily to
That’s not to say that publishing this type of content will automatically result in links. But, at least according to this study, it can increase the odds that other people will link to you. Second, create content with a “hook”.
A hook is an angle, a data point, or something controversial that will encourage people to naturally link to you.
For example, a few years back I published a post about a strategy called “The Skyscraper Technique”. Unlike most SEO case studies, this post contained a detailed, step-by-step process.
The Skyscraper Technique – Steps
I also gave the strategy a name to make it easy to remember. And because my content contained multiple hooks, that page has 11.2K backlinks.
Improve Your Site’s User Experience
Improving your site’s user experience (UX) can, directly and indirectly, help with your SEO. UX can directly help with SEO because Google knows when people start “Pogo sticking” after landing on your site from the search results.
If enough people bounce from your site to the search engine results, this tells Google that your result didn’t give that searcher what they were looking for.
And your search engine rankings can dip. You can get a proxy measurement of Pogo sticking from Google Analytics. If your page has a high bounce rate, this might be a sign that users aren’t finding what they’re looking for.
Post with a high bounce rate
UX can indirectly help with SEO because people are more likely to share and link to user-for-user-friendly sites. So if your site is hard to use, uses intrusive pop-ups and ads, and has a bunch of broken links… people will not link to it.
(Even if you have great content.)
So yeah, UX is something that every site owner should pay attention to, anyway. It just so happens that great UX can boost your SEO too.

Amazing Free SEO Tools: A hand-curated list of tools that can help you implement a lot of the strategies in this guide.
Our Director of SEO Javed Hayat explains:
“When you write title tags and titles, think about how you can tell the user what they’re getting from the article. People like to see that there will be a depth of information. For example, using ‘Best Ways to Increase Inbound Marketing Traffic’ as your headline is better than ‘Increasing Inbound Marketing Traffic Today. You want to think of something that will make the user stop and want to read your content, but use keywords so that Google understands what your article is about..”
Because titles give Google a better idea of the page and your page structure, they carry a lot of weight. For example, including a secondary keyword in your subheadings tells Google that you not only cover the major topic but also cover other parts of the topic and are hitting it from multiple angles. You should also take the time to develop individual headings for multiple pages, even if they cover similar aspects of the same topic.
Search engines like to rank high-quality content that covers the topic well because they are looking for this one-stop source of information. When Google ranks your website, it does so with confidence that “this is the page that will answer your question.”
Write strong meta descriptions
The meta description tag of your article defines the block of text that shows up after the content title in the SERPs (search engine results pages). Just like your page titles, your page’s meta description is placed in the <head> of each webpage’s HTML code.
This is the text that explains what information that content provides.
SEO Best Practices for Stronger Organic Traffic Meta Description
As with header text, you need to think about what you as a user looking for. What details will you get when you click on the link to read more?
Keep in mind that Google often rewrites meta descriptions. After analyzing user intent, they do their best to take your content and describe it as something they think users are looking for and then display it. Sometimes they take text from your meta description or what’s on the page and rearrange it in a way they think works better.
Meta descriptions are not used in search ranking algorithms. However, your site’s click-through rate from search results is. So, make your meta description as attractive as possible, even if Google rewrites it for you. It’s always worth trying to get the information you want, and it’s an opportunity for free advertising in the search rankings.
Optimize all images
You want your pages to load as quickly as possible, so make sure you optimize images so their file sizes are as small as they can be.
Use Google Lighthouse to scan your site and find out which images might cause it to slow down. Optimization services, such as Bulk Resize Photos, can help you reduce media file size, but most CMSs also offer some optimization features, allowing you to edit the post directly. are
The easiest way to avoid downsizing too many images, later, is to make a best practice of preparing your images to look as good as possible at the smallest size.
This is because Google takes user experience into account in its search ranking algorithm, and if your page loads slowly but your competitor’s page with the same information loads faster, especially on mobile, Google is going to give users faster pages first.
Another SEO tip from Javed Hayat:
“In addition to optimizing your images for size, use alt tags and on-page image descriptions to help with organic search. It’s not enough just to rank well in Google Images for someone looking for a red widget example or a Star Trek ship model. It can help in actual organic searches. If a page has 20 pictures of red widgets, Google will think it’s a good page to learn about red widgets!”
Access is also important to consider. Many users will benefit from screen reader technology to help them navigate the web, and you want to let Google and other search engines know you support them.
So do what you can to limit the file size of your images and create strong alt text (the text that describes what the image is when not rendering it) so that The visual media you choose supports your overall SEO strength.
Add universal links
Link whenever appropriate, but always include a few internal links to relevant pieces of content. Google crawls every page and wants to see if you are linking to more articles around the article you are writing.
Link with intention and keep search in mind, especially when choosing anchor text. This means that instead of using phrases like “read this article,” you’re using anchor text that uses the primary keyword that the article is about. This tells search engines more information about where the link is going.
Google doesn’t specify how many external or internal links to include, but a rule of thumb is based on the length of your content. The most important thing is to make sure all your internal links are relevant.
There’s no hard limit on how many you should include, but if you link to a lot of irrelevant content, it distracts the reader and confuses search engines. When you’re introducing new concepts to your readers, we recommend using several internal links for clarification at the beginning of the article, but your goal when creating links in your content should be to focus on the user.
Provide user-friendly design (on desktop and mobile)
Design is often left out of internal conversations about how to improve a company’s search engine rankings, focusing instead on optimizing meta tags and creating high-quality content. But it really shouldn’t be.
Google wants users to easily find what they’re looking for when they land on a page, no matter what device they’re on. Aim to make it as easy as possible for someone on their phone to use your site — and just as easily on a computer’s web browser.
Is your site easy to navigate? Are links easy to scroll and click? Does your long-form content provide a table of contents or an easy way to jump around? Sometimes when you create a website just for your desktop users, you don’t have time to see how it looks on a phone.
Again, when developing your website, keep the user in mind. Depending on how your prospects engage with your content, you may not need to worry as much about mobile, but for pure rankings, the mobile experience matters a lot.
Thankfully, content management systems like HubSpot and WordPress ensure that your site’s user experience is consistent and easy from the start, thanks to responsive design.
Improve page speed
The <head> section of every HTML document is loaded before the visible part of a particular page. This means that the code in this section should be as lean as possible.
Unfortunately, because this part of the page is less visible to stakeholders on the site, the header has been neglected for years. It’s not unusual for Google Analytics to drop multiple scripts or user behavior tools such as hot jars into the code, reducing download times.
If you want to know what you can do to improve your page speed, take advantage of Google’s Lighthouse Test. This tool shows you everything that’s slowing down your load time, on one end. It can provide information at a granular level, basically telling you: “Hey, here are the seven things that are loading slowly.” You can use this information to decide what is essential to your internal needs and what can be left out.
You also want to make sure your CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are clean. They should be state-of-the-art and built as efficiently as possible. Whenever you minify your CSS, take it. You don’t need to take down a huge amount of code, but every tenth of a second count.
Site managers with pages containing a lot of information will want to take advantage of the opportunity to provide as much content as possible to Google and the user as quickly as possible. It’s a good idea to make sure your text is visible before your web font loads.
You can also take advantage of slow loading so that less search-critical content, such as images and video, is served after the text on your page.
Use navigation and sitemaps
Your top navigation is the single biggest vote you can get on your site for the importance of a piece of content.
Here are tips to make it SEO friendly:
Link to the top pillar pages from your top navigation. You don’t want to link to everything at this level, but the main title pages on your website should go here. Use the language applicable to the searcher. Try not to use terms like “solutions” and “services” if you can help it. For example, a plumber’s website may link directly to “sink installation, “, ” toilet installation “, etc.
Sitemaps are XML files that tell Google what’s on your site. After you’re done, submit it to Google through the Google Search Console. With HubSpot and WordPress, you’ll automatically have a sitemap that breaks down all the parts of your website.
As a general SEO best practice, make sure your sitemap is set up, and that Google knows about it. Google is crawling pages and looking for internal links, but you should always have a sitemap set up within the search console. This is a great resource, especially if, down the line, you need to disavow toxic backlinks.
Lean into Semantic HTML
Semantic HTML tells Google what it’s doing and what it’s looking for, and header tags are one of the biggest parts. Semantic HTML describes the structure of the page—how the content is organized and what primary and secondary topics are included. This not only shows Google what the concept is, but what the text is about the rest of the text.
This means that instead of formatting your text on a page with uppercase and lowercase text, you use the heading tags discussed earlier. Instead of using the <b> tag to show bold text, the HTML code around the text should show the text is <strong>, which puts more emphasis on what’s between the tags.
For Google, there is a specific, linguistic difference in how your text works, and they look at the HTML to see how much of the page is bold versus italic. They know what a well-written document title and page structure look like.
SEO Best Practices
Like building a site with a user-friendly design, most content management systems make it very easy to create a page using proper semantic HTML.

Although it may have its attention, that’s why we just made it third on our list. DYNO Mapper and SEO Profiler also allow you to track competitors, but in a way that gives you specific tips for improving your site.
That said, it’s very easy to use what SEMrush offers. Using the tool’s search bar, you can ask SEMrush to provide Google and Bing results for a site or page by providing a URL. Once the results are available, you’ll be able to compare them by selecting a keyword and how other sites and pages rank.
It looks exactly like our top three, but the major difference is that you have to wait for SEMrush to analyze your site or page and then manually select each keyword. The others mentioned earlier do all this with very little effort, and you will see the results of all your keywords on the same results page. For detailed statistics, pay about $70 a month.
So, the Competitive Research and Keyword Research gadget is not a tool at all, but a gadget – as the name implies. You add the gadget to your site as a widget, so it appears on your site as a button that lets you general information about your site’s keyword rankings. The free installation includes a competitive analysis tool so you can see how well your site is performing against your competition, but you also have competitive research another keyword tracking tool. This makes a very important point if you want to. Although the functions of our four keyword ranking tools already include both features of this smart gadget, combining competitive research and keyword research gadgets with either of them (or any of the tools we list Will give you this option. Access these tools directly from your site.
Originally launched as Google’s Word tool and traffic estimator, Google’s Word Planner lets you research keywords and trends. If you’re still creating content, you can use Google’s Word Planner to search for keywords relevant to your business using words or phrases related to your site. The results will not only give you a list of suggested keywords but also tell you how good their ranking is.
In addition to their current rankings, Google’s Word Planner will also provide you with a report on how often keywords are searched, performing keyword performance.
Although Google’s Word Planner focuses primarily on planning your site (hence the name), you’ll also be able to check your site’s ranking and find information on your competitors’ websites. The keyword tool is considered quite accurate for Google, of course, in search engine results, but given that Yahoo and Bing are not covered by Google’s WordPress tools (and both are increasing alternatives to Google) You may miss the true reflection of your rankings. However, it’s free to use as long as you sign up for a free AdWords account.
The Veronica Dashboard provides technical information on your site and allows you to add URLs to competing sites so you can compare and see how well your website compares to them.
The website review function will give you the current ranking of your site (not only in terms of keyword rankings but also overall SEO) and in addition, highlight the areas where you can improve yourself. We will give positive feedback on what we’re doing. This feature has a continuity option so you can review your site multiple times and see past reports to see how much your rankings have improved.
Working automatically picks the keywords you use and offers suggestions for keywords you might miss out on. No worries. If some keywords you use don’t automatically appear in the list, then with a warning you can manually add them to the keywords you want to use to rank the tool.
Before you decide whether you want to use a premium plan (limited to one project) per month to 49 or 9149 per month, you will test Woo Ranking with a free 7-day trial.
Many critics recommend Marsh offer Advertiser as their second favorite keyword ranking tool. Controversy is best used with any other keyword ranking tool, as it focuses primarily on backlinks, but is also quite capable as a keyword ranking tool. ۔ You’ll be able to see which of your competitors are using external links, as well as their top pages and IPs. Sharaf also provides excellent customer service with cooperation, so you will never find yourself at a loss for how to operate this tool.
It has a lot of prominent features, but as a keyword ranking tool, its primary function is to automatically find the keywords (or keywords) that are listed on your site. You will also be able to specify which site’s search engine results you want to analyze for your site, so you get a local report. This is an underestimated feature, as many site owners do not think that you will rank better in your country (which is mostly your focus) than the rest of the world. Although there is a (very) limited free version, we would recommend choosing $79 for the monthly package.
Advanced Web Rating acts as a desktop and cloud-based tool for ranking websites. This keyword ranking tool allows you to track unlimited websites – meaning you don’t have to choose a top ten list to monitor and harass your competitors, which is why you had to leave. Yes, he can do unexpectedly better.
Using the Advanced Web Ranking tool, you will automatically enable your update reports to see how well your website or page is ranking according to the schedule of your choice. If you need to generate results at the drop of a hat, as part of a business offer or sales pitch, you’ll also be able to manually update the data using the refresh option.
Available in four package options (Standard, Professional, Enterprise, and Server), the advanced web ranking software can be purchased stand-alone or as part of the Advanced Link Manager. Most website owners are satisfied with the standard package (49 months per month), but we recommend choosing the Pro Package (99 months per month) to take full advantage of the SEO features of the Advanced Link Manager. Including printable reports, emailed reports, and a local report.
Therefore, SEO Centro is a simple online SEO tool that offers amazing features. SEO Analyzer, Meta Tag Analyzer, Meta Tag Generator, Keyword Positioning Check, Page Speed Analyzer, Mobile Friendly Analyzer, Keyword Density Tool, Keyword Suggestion Tool, Page Word Analyzer, PageRank Check Tools, Social Link Popularity Tool, and more.
These wide arrays of functions available make it very attractive, but to get the same benefits that our advanced tips offer with a dashboard, open the dashboard of each device individually. Is required, and you spend a great deal of time collecting data. Using Rank Checker will give you a single keyword ranking report on different search engines and the history of that keyword. But no other information.
When signing up for SEO Centro, you get a two-day free trial that can be canceled during this period, and their three packages differ only in that you can. How many will work in a month and how many? When you ask for personal SEO support. In addition, both Pro ($10 per month) and Premium (20 a month) allow for one user only, but Enterprise (40 a month) allows for multiple users.
The same website is a great tool to get traffic insights for any website. All you need to do is type in your URL and in seconds this tool will give you a report on your global, country, and category rankings. Includes a graph showing how many times a week a site has been visited in the last six months.
Although keyword ranking is not strict, a similar website will give you an idea of how well your site is performing in terms of traffic. Information that can complement any keyword ranking tool reports, especially if you choose a ranking tool that doesn’t show you. Which sites are working better than you? A similar webpage will also give you a sign of how many views your site has received because of social media, searches, citations, and ads.
You’ll also be able to add competitors you need to keep track of on the web, and in return, this tool will offer its suggestions to competitors who are sure to help you. Should monitor. When you choose a basic account ($99 per month) or a modern account (5 599 per month), you will be offered a free trial period. Enterprise account (2999 per month) does not have a trial period.
Authority Labs was easy to use as a classification tracking application. It has several features, the most important of which is the ability to track keywords daily for Google, Bing, and Yahoo search page results, including estimated search volumes. You’ll also be able to rank your keyword locally, up to a specific area (using a zip code), and compare it to your competitor’s results.
If you need copies of hand reports, Authority Labs will allow you to export a PDF or CSV of your results. This tool also lets you compare your rankings to the previous day, last week, last month, three months ago, or any other date. Authority Labs also understands that keyword ranking applies not only to the text that appears on your site but also to results in images, news, videos, purchases, Google Places, and segmentation results.
Authority Lab offers a 30-day free trial. Authority Labs Plus, a package developed by small businesses, costs $49 a month, and their most popular option (Pro Plan) is just $99 a month. ProPlus and Enterprise projects are directed by consultants and agencies, priced at $225 and 450, respectively.
TANK WATCH
Ranks Watch is a cloud-based software designed to do more than just upgrade. Unfortunately, some features are limited – free tools are very expensive, but to take full advantage of Rank Watch, buy one of their plans. These range from ، 29 to $449 per month, medium, large, or extra large (there is also a custom plan, where you have to choose how many keywords you want to track: Prices start at $58) But monthly $87 may be higher each month)).
Free tools include a website analyzer, mobile-friendly tests, and Google algorithm updates. Limited tools (which require a package, although it is offered for a free 14-day trial) SEO management, white label solutions, a keyword archive, local position tracking, email Notification, the ability to compare your results with competitors, allows integration. Google Webmaster, a backlink analysis, and keyword suggestions.
Despite its many strengths as a cheap keyword ranking tool (being competitively priced compared to the other payment tools mentioned with us), Rank Watch is only 14th on our list for two main reasons. Appears as a number. Its keyword research tool lacks the power you can expect, and its backlink checker doesn’t deliver consistent results regularly.
Although Moz is considered a leading SEO consulting company, its Rank Tracker falls short of the standard set by a few other high-ranking tools—at least. Moz Pro offers a powerful rank tracking tool that allows you to get reports on your site, page, and keywords’ search engine results for Google, Yahoo, and Bing via email, and the tool stores your reports for comparison at your convenience. You’ll be able to see your ranking on a global, national, and local scale—and by local we mean city and neighborhood.
The Moz Pro package (which the Moz Rank Tracker falls under) will allow you to compare your results to competitors using the Moz Domain Authority tool. With their SEO tools, you’ll also be able to optimize your search engine results, compare mobile versus desktop rankings, and find any issues with your site picked up by the software’s crawlers.
There is a 30-day free trial period offered, after which you’ll have the choice of Standard, Medium, Large, or Premium Moz Pro packaged, ranging from $99 to $599 per month. There is a slight discount available should you opt to pay annually.
RANKSCANNER
Another cloud-based search engine results page tracking tool, the Rank scanner is packed with a host of useful tools. This tool will analyze your SEO performance automatically (once you’ve set up a package) once you’ve let the tool know which keywords you want it to rank and will provide you with algorithms containing suggestions for new keywords you should start integrating into your site.
The rank scanner will also notify you of changes to your ranking status, and should your site’s rating drop you’ll be given specific suggestions for improvements. In addition, the rank scanner also promises 100% accuracy for all their keyword tracking and pledges to immediately run a second scan at no extra cost should they suspect any errors with their report.
Also, you can ask the number of keywords to Ranks scanner to track for you differs from package to package, as do the number of Buzz mentions offered and the regularity of reports. The Basic Package, geared for start-ups and blogs, is free and (of course) the most limited option available, but their most popular option is the Silver Package (at about $10 a month). The rank scanner also offers a Gold Package for advanced users at $32.50 a month, and a Platinum Package for enterprise users at $55 per month.
Microsite Master offers daily keyword rank tracking for Google, Yahoo, Bing, and several other search engines, allowing you to see where and how your site can be improved. You’ll also be able to see where other sites rank for the same keywords you use, so you can pick up on Google updates and compare your success to that of your competitors. The Microsite Master SEO Scoreboard makes this easy to do, offering an overview report on one screen for easy review.
Google keyword ranking tool also allows you to integrate Analytics and Clicky so you can see where most of your site’s traffic is originating (specifically which keywords and phrases are leading to better ranking. You’ll be able to monitor how your links and contents are contributing to your rank status, and see where you can improve.
Microsite Master’s free account doesn’t offer these features and limits your searches to ten keywords, but you’ll still benefit from daily updates. The “Mom’s Basement” package shoots your keyword limit up to 150 for only $20 a month, but we would recommend signing up for the Affiliate account ($50 per month, 650 keywords) as a minimum for established sites.
An open-source tool we’re going to talk about is biased, designed for Google, or designed for Google Chrome. The developers of SEO Book Rank Checker recognized the growing popularity of alternative browsers and designed software specifically for Firefox.
The SEO Book Rank Checker plugin allows you to easily discover your site’s rankings and automatically track your progress. You can choose to install only the Rank Checker tool, but we recommend you use its sister tools, the SEO toolbar (with the best features) and the SEO for Firefox tool (which lets you view site rankings and other information). Also, suggest installing it (for free on the search engine results page). Once the installation is complete, you will need to restart Firefox, but then everything will appear in a simple toolbar.
Aside from being only available for Firefox, there’s a downside to using the SEO Book Rank Checker Tool – if Google thinks you’re requesting too many keywords, your IP may be blocked. Fortunately, developers need to keep this in mind and implement a function that allows you to determine the delay between queries to avoid blacklisting.
A popular open-source word tracking tool, the SERP Keyword Rank Checker lets you track your site’s keyword rankings by global and location. Again, you will be asked to select a keyword and domain, although you also have the option to leave the URL section blank to view 250 results. You then select the search engine (Google or Yahoo only) and the location, which you can clear from a particular neighborhood or GPS location in a second, optional section. Finally, you choose whether you want to see the desktop or mobile search results, and select Go. The online tool pops up some beautiful messages on the progress bar while analyzing your entry, and in about 20 seconds you’ll get a complete report – which you can download as CSV.
Assuming you have kept the domain section clean so that you can see how much better you’re than your competitors, your search results will look something like this (of course go up to 250 250 domains). ): https://domain.com/ position1 https://example.com/ Position 2 | https://site.com/ Position 3 The biggest downside is that the SERP Keyword Rank Checker does not provide you with ranking information on links.
Designed to track your keyword rankings for Google, the venture is one tool available. You will benefit from a 14-day free trial period before signing up, but once you become a paid user, you will monitor your current rankings and see what happens to them. There are fluctuations. The venture allows you to add multiple domains and keywords, so you can compare your site with the competition. And if a competitor helps you and leaves you behind, Venture will send you a notification so you can analyze the incident and decide to change and improve your ranking. How to respond together.
Venture lets you view analytics reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, group your keywords for a clear overview of your site ranking, and archive or present your reports in PDF format at meetings. Provides the ability to get in. Best of all, if you’ve built your site using WordPress, Shopify, or Webley, you’ll be able to easily add Access Venture as a plugin to your content management dashboard. The only downside to using Venture is that it cannot track your site for Bing and Yahoo.
Small SEO Tools is another great online search engine optimization tool that is available for free. Rather than just a keyword ranking checker, it’s a complete set of easy-to-use SEO tools. Small SEO tools include a plagiarism checker, article writer, keyword ranker, grammar checker, image compression tool, spell checker, backlink checker, backlink maker, keyword density checker, and much more. All tools are indexed on the right side of your site for easy, easy access like any keyword ranking software dashboard.
Keyword ranking checker is like the SERP: you provide URLs, select your search engine (there are several Google options available), and up to ten keywords at a time. Before you complete the captcha and select “Check Position”, you can select the range of pages you want to test, with brackets in groups of ten to forty.
The results can take minutes depending on how many keywords you use and which pages you want to test, and are sorted:
* Keyword 1 position 11 * Keyword 2 position 67
So, the only thing missing from small SEO tools is the ability to suggest improvements or easily compare your results with those of your competitors.
Type “Google Rank Checker” into your search bar and you’ll quickly find this great keyword ranking tool. It’s free to use and will help you determine the positioning of your keywords for Google’s search engine results page. You’ll be asked to provide your site’s URL, a keyword or keyword phrase, the area you want to test (for example/world / USA—google. com), and a pre-submission. Answer the simple captcha question. In less than 10 seconds, you’ll get a result that looks something like this:
Site URL Domain.com | Keyword Example | Rating 12
Since it is an open-source online word ranking tool, it does not limit you to just searching for your site, so you check that your competitors have the same desires. What a good ranking for words.
One major downside is that you will have to manually change the URL for each search and the URL when checking out different sites, while we have listed the second-level tools. Allow you to monitor multiple sites automatically. You will only receive results for specific domains and keywords, so comparing your site to a competitor’s site will require a lot of extra work.
SEO SERP Workbench is the free Google Chrome plugin of Umeed, the brainchild of Andy Domo, which allows you to rank websites around the world quickly and easily. You’ll be able to match keywords to websites and webpage keywords, and you can download software available to analyze ranking positions and compare them with the results of your competing business competitors.
If used with other SEO tools available through Maywood, the SERP workbench will give you a great idea of how well your site is performing overall, but if you just want the easy-to-use keyword ranking tool, then it has its status. As well as. You can copy the results to Google Docs (although you will lose the color grading system) or to an Excel sheet, so you always have a copy with you so you can compare your results.
Another attractive feature of the SEO SERP Workbench tool is that you can work offline, so you will not be deprived of information that you can not save if your network is disconnected or you lose data. The only downside is that you will only get Google search engine results.

Tiny Rocket Lab is advertised as the best keyword ranking tool in the world, but to be fair, you can only use it to track your keywords from the Google search engine. Although it is very easy to use, and straightforward, it helps you make the best decisions to improve your site quickly and efficiently. While a keyword ranking tracker, Tiny Rocket Lab also provides a one-page SEO tool with customized optimization tools, SEO link data, competitor monitoring, and complete reports.
You’ll also be able to add Google Search Console, and it’s easy to manage a dashboard with a task management function to keep SEO functions and optimization in Tiny Rocket Lab software. While you’ll be able to generate email reports and integrate the rest of Google Webmaster Tools, Tiny Rocket Lab is limited in that you can only search for ten keywords at a time – and that you can find your track. Cannot Rate Yahoo and Bing. Although not as popular as Google, being able to track your keywords on all three browsers always gives you a better idea of your rankings.
White Star focuses entirely on keyword rankings, so you won’t be able to see your global rankings – not much of a problem unless you’re an international company. While it’s worth it, it’s very accurate – and you don’t need to add a place editor to make it work.
The software detects maps and organic results, showing how far competitors push you and how users find you (whether more searches, general searches, social media links, ads, or referrals). Born by).
White Star’s Local Reference Finder will allow you to find opportunities for citations and links to help increase your local search rankings. This tool will show you where your business is listed online, and where your competitors are listed, monitor your referrals over time, and compare your rankings with those of your competitors. They offer a reputation builder, which allows users to review your site on popular platforms (increasing new ideas and user potential).
White Star offers several package options, ranging from $5 to 200 200 a month. Naturally, each package offers over one before, and while the small business package is fine for blogs or small businesses, the expert package (at $50 per month) is highly recommended. ۔
A free tool as a Traffic Travis that is available as a free desktop tool, but also offers a paid Pro version with an indumentum paid 97 payment that is refundable for the first sixty days. You can choose Traffic Travis Pro, but the free version offers almost all the same features, anyway. Traffic Travis is a great SEO management software that offers fully automated analytics for your site. You’ll also be able to export your reports, and if you have over one site to handle, you’ll be able to do so.
In addition, Traffic Travis allows you to track their rankings by keywords and location, checking how well each page is performing and what backlinks they are using. Words, analyze your competitors, and much more. This software will give you SEO alerts for any pages that are losing rank or not ranking well and also offer sitemap help.
You will create up to five versions with five hundred keywords with the free version, all things considered. Unfortunately, there is no version available for your Mac users, and if you make too many rating requests in a short period, search engines will temporarily block your IP address.
Grange, as the name implies, is just a local keyword ranking tool, which allows you to focus on your search but ignores its feasibility in international business. However, it will help you find the best possible local referral sources to help you outperform your competition, but unlike similar software, you need to use it on your site. Words will not be given. However, you’ll find keyword-based reviews and backlink suggestions.
YouTube, Bing, Yahoo, and of course Google (including many of its search engine tools) all support and cover, and you’ll also be able to know your SEO rankings for mobile search, videos and images., And all data is updated every 30 seconds to help you keep track of your progress. You will export all your reports as white-label PDFs.
The GEO Ranker Keyword Rating Tool has received a lot of positive feedback, but on one occasion it was investigated for fraudulent activity. Although it was given, the auditing team extolled it as a well-managed software that is 100% reliable. Prices range from $99 to 49 90,490. We recommend choosing the perfect suit.
Although not as popular as the other keyword ranking groups we entered, Search Monitor is still noteworthy. Because it only allows you to monitor the sites of your competitors, you need to make sure that the software thinks that your site belongs to someone else if you want to track your rankings. You can also use Search Monitor with one of the other tools that do not offer competitor analysis for a complete overview.
In addition to keyword rankings, you’ll also be able to find site affiliations and trademarks to learn how (and where) you can integrate such information into your site, or you provide impetus to build your affiliations and trademarks.
In addition, in contrast to the keyword tools mentioned above, Search Monitor gives you results from Google, Bing, Yahoo, YouTube, and Baidu (a Chinese web services company based in Beijing, which has the seventh largest revenue in its market). does. In addition to websites, blogs, and forums, you will also be able to track search engine news feeds and mobile searches.
Considering that this device is relatively little offered, it is relatively expensive, starting at $299 per month and rising to $799.
ESPIONAGE
Another competitor-based tracking tool, Espionage, lets you test the market for keywords with the best performance on Google and Bing (unfortunately Yahoo is not excluded). The software also shows how much your competition is spending on improving their organic and paid search results.
Espionage offers you all this information as graphs so that you can easily compare how your competitors are being ranked, and if you think of this tool as your site another business. Belongs to You’ll be able to include it in search (this can be very complicated to achieve, so you’ll probably want to use Espionage with another keyword ranking tool with the Search Monitor tool).
This software also allows you to see which advertising methods and copies are working best for your competitors, so you can model your marketing to see if you can deliver positive results. Proven for. With a little less offer than search monitor software, you’ll be glad to hear that keeping costs more. The silver package will cost you $59 a month, $89 in gold, and $129 a month.
This online keyword ranking checker tracks your Google position and allows you to compare your results with those of your competitors. Their developers have enhanced the functionality of the software and asked the public to provide them with feedback and suggestions for future expansion.
While this can be very useful for anyone interested in just checking and comparing their keyword rankings, the more advanced user will move to other tools with more options. Why That Monsieur position checker is quite limited. You will only be able to search for one keyword at a time, and will only be able to find your Google search engine results (and only if your site matches 100 of your site’s keywords. For low-ranking keywords, the Monsieur Position Checker also offers results showing your position in five places from where you rank, so it’s not the most reliable tool – unless you don’t just search for top-level keywords.
When all is said and done, Monsieur Position Checker is a great place to learn keyword-level tracking for initial words, which is why we’ve added it to our list despite our limitations, is it?

Increasing organic traffic to your site can be a daunting task for both bloggers as the internet is filled with so many of them. But what most of them don’t consider in their survival strategy is one platform: Quora.
Top Tips to Promote your Website for Getting Google Ranking
Whether it’s a New York fashion blog or a mystery bedroom Bangalore site. However, Quora can help redirect relevant audiences to your site by providing useful information.
In this article, we will share with you the top tips that can help you promote your blog using Quora!
Create a Quora account for yourself
First, you need to set up a Quora account (if you don’t already have one) to promote your blog. To make your account stand out, use all the information. Starting with your real name (not a pseudonym), your profile picture, occupation, education, and any other required fields must be placed on your profile.
Just by providing all these necessary credentials in your profile. Your audience can get to know you and your blog.
With an average of around 15 million daily active users, the competition here is quite high. So, to stand out from the crowd, make sure you provide authentic information to your audience. Starting with getting to know you.
Discover interesting Website topics on Quora
Being a blogger, you should always have trendy and interesting themes to craft your next blog post. Using Quora correctly can be a piece of cake! Questions and answers on this platform may be useful for your purpose.
Just scrolling through them will help you find potential topics for your next blog post because you understand what people are trending. Browse through posted questions and answers, related questions, and comments, anything you might find useful.
Connect with and follow experts in your field.
Quora is a very useful platform to meet experts in your field and expand your network accordingly. Not only can you follow individual profiles related to a particular industry, but you can also follow topics yourself. For example, if you’re looking for travel experts on Quora, type “travel” into the search bar. Then, in the ‘By Type’ section on the left side of the screen, you can choose whether you’re looking for individuals or something else of your choice. (See the image below for better understanding)
Post comments from time to time for your Website for Getting Google Ranking
Commenting from time to time on other answers already published on the platform can also help you grow. Even if it doesn’t seem useful, writing comments can play an important role in growing your audience on Quora.
However, do not start commenting on any other answer found on the platform. Instead, work on commenting on some relevant answers posted by experts to build your reputation.
By doing this, the person in question will know your experience and knowledge in the field. Also, it will allow other viewers/users on the platform to get to know you, and they may follow you in return! With India having the second largest user base and around 35% of Americans using it daily, Quora can give you a lot of exposure once you use it right.
Sometimes insert some links on your site.
When you are writing a detailed or broad answer, linking to your website can be a great way to promote your blog. This way, users can easily be redirected to your blog while reviewing your answer.
However, make sure you don’t start overusing it, as Quora is a platform that doesn’t favor mindless promotion or Social Media Marketing. Writing too many links in your reply will make it look like spam.
Quora will take strict action against you, delete your answer, or worse, ban your account. So, bloggers like you need to know how to strike the right balance between using and misusing your blog links while writing answers on Quora.
Meet influencers based on your Website for Getting Google Ranking
Quora has quickly become a popular platform among global users. By using it, you can not only meet influencers in your industry but also connect with top influencers in other fields!
Many high-profile people have created their profiles on Quora, such as Balaji Viswanathan (#1 most followed person), Adam Donegal, and more! From startup brand founders to high-profile CEOs, the immense opportunities Quora offers are limitless! Connecting with influencers can go a long way in helping you promote your blog effectively.
Gain immense knowledge for your Website for Getting Google Ranking
When you look at it analytically, you can understand how Quora can be more fruitful for its purpose than other social networks.
Unlike spending your time scrolling through photos and videos on Facebook or Instagram, looking at posts on Quora can help you gain insights.
The content you find here allows you to learn something interesting and new every day. Gathering insights about the latest market trends, what your target audience is looking for, etc. can help make your blog more useful to your audience.
So by learning more about your industry, you can improve your blog SEO and promote it better to your target audience.

The Art of free consultation for web developing and Google SEO services: Few real-world examples to Grow Your Client Roster. Offering free consultations is a favorite way for web development and Google SEO services providers to bring in prospects and book new clients. But there’s an art and science to converting signups and closing deals. If your business depends on selling your web development and Google SEO services to high-value leads. Perfecting how you market and offering a sample session is critical. Let’s look at the mention of real-world business owners who nailed it and help you create their best examples. Because a free consultation is a great way to attract qualified leads who are actively looking for the type of services your business provides. That will also provide multiple benefits to both you and your prospects.
First, as with any lead magnet, it’s an effective way to get the contact details of potential clients, which will help you build your email list, build relationships with your leads, and ultimately convert them. Allows more than to be converted into paying clients.
But a free consultation also comes with some unique benefits. A prospect who books a sample session with you is much closer to making a buying decision than someone who, for example, just reads one of your blog posts. After all, if they’re willing to spend time talking with you one-on-one, chances are they think you hold the key to helping them achieve their specific goals. A free consultation, therefore, presents a great opportunity to nudge an interested prospect into becoming a new, long-term client.
Free consulting
Free consulting is an especially effective tactic for coaching and consulting businesses looking for new, high-quality clients. These businesses often depend on building strong relationships with their customers, and so a sample session allows you to gauge in advance whether the prospect is someone you’d like to work with (and On the contrary!).
And even when a free consultation doesn’t result in a sale, it can still offer tremendous benefits to your business. When you generously provide free value to people, you promote positive word of mouth that spreads to your target market and works to your advantage as a referral engine.
What is a Free consultation for Web development and Google SEO Services?
A free consultation is a one-on-one conversation, conversation, meeting, or interview given freely to share ideas and discuss possible opportunities to work together.
Despite their obvious appeal, marketing free consultations successfully aren’t as easy as it sounds. Unlike other lead magnets, the barrier to entry for free consulting is high. The prospect isn’t just exchanging their contact details for a free download or piece of content, they’re committing to spending time and energy talking with you. For this reason, prospects often need a little more convincing before they’re ready to book a session.
That’s why it’s so important to create a conversion-friendly landing page. If you’re going to convince leads to sign up, you have to prove that the consultation will be worth their time. This means optimizing your consultation page so well that prospects won’t pass up the opportunity to learn more about what you can do for them. So to help you create the perfect opt-in page for your free consultation, we’ve put together a few great examples to get these ideas off the ground.
Free consultation from Shakardara for Web SEO and Web Development Services. A free consultation page manages to find the perfect balance between being visually appealing and packed with important information.
Here are some important points above all for Web SEO and Web Development Services
Crystal clear expectations. This page explains what prospects can expect from their free consultation, from getting a property appraisal to getting a personalized landscaping plan. This ensures that no one hesitates to sign up because they are not sure what the counseling will entail. Emphasis on quality. By highlighting some of the key benefits and features of high-quality outdoor lighting—safety, security, and long-lasting fixtures—this page reminds prospects of what they can expect from doing business with the company. Visual reinforcement. This page features images of some beautiful examples of what the business has to offer, enhancing the sense of quality and professionalism that the brand is trying to convey.
Schedule a free consultation with Shakardara.com
Shakardara.com’s free consultation page is simple and to the point. But what makes this page stand out is the action-driven scheduler and the way it blends seamlessly with the rest of the company’s website.
What can we learn from this kind of free consultation page?
Use a scheduler. Using an appointment scheduler tool not only makes it easy for your visitor to schedule a consultation, but also helps drive conversions. All too often, someone will sign up for a free consultation but then fall off the radar when it comes to setting a date and time for a session. But with a live appointment scheduler, the prospect is putting you right into their calendar and will generally feel more committed to following through with the session. And the more people who show up to your free sessions, the better your chances of conversion!
Consistent branding. When you compare this page to the rest of the Shakardara website, you’ll notice how it matches the color scheme and minimal design of all the other pages. It’s a good reminder that every lead capture page you have should be aligned with your broader website design and goals. You can learn how to define your business and website goals here.
Although Shakardara’s free consultation page is simple, it’s also full of personality. This is especially important for freelancers and solopreneurs, where the appeal of your business is as much about you as an individual as it is about the services you provide.
Here are some things that stand out about Misty’s page:
Accessible headshot. The first thing you see on this page is a picture of Misty holding a camera. Confronting your advice helps build trust with prospects, making them feel more comfortable signing up. Misty’s happiness and smiling also convey a level of warmth that indicates that counseling with her will not be high-selling. Who are you? Misty provides a brief bio describing her background and professional interests. This reinforces her fun personality and helps show that she is good at what she does. Consulting flexibility. Misty outlines some of the ways she can be consulted to meet a variety of potential needs. She also leaves the door open to the possibility of reaching her via email if they don’t want to book a session with her. These flexible options can help make prospects more comfortable about being approached.
Free consultations selling premium events and workshops
As a coach or consultant, an effective way to start branching out from the traditional time-for-money business model is to start offering high-ticket workshops, retreats, or educational courses to your audience. These allow you to sell your services one-to-many (rather than one-to-one) without spreading yourself too thin. But with high-priced items comes a greater barrier to purchase.
Ashley Turner uses free consultation calls in this example to convince interested prospects to sign up for her top-shelf yoga teacher training. To ensure that only people genuinely interested in the training book call for a free consultation, Ashley has added the following message to the page:
“These 20-minute calls are strictly reserved for students who are seriously interested in attending our live YPS training in Venice, CA."
So what can we learn from Ashley’s example?
Pair your premium events with a free consultation call: A tried and tested sales tactic is to connect with your prospects and help them decide if your premium services are a good fit for them. Or not. Often, the best way to do this is to jump on a phone or video call. Clarify your target audience: Ashley makes sure that anyone who lands on her page understands who the free consultation is and isn’t for. This means he only has to spend time on calls with prospects who are more likely to become customers. For others with urgent questions or unrelated inquiries, you can always provide another means of contact, such as an email address or inquiry form.

Form for more information. When leads click to book a consultation with Sophia, they are taken to a form questionnaire to enter their contact details and project requirements. Surveys like these let you easily determine if an interesting prospect is a good match before you schedule a call. Free consultation from Platinum Trading Systems
A lot is going on with this Platinum Trading Systems page. But now every detail works together to increase the urgency of getting into the action.
Highlights of this page include:
Value first. The page begins directly with the value proposition. There are five strategies, and you (“anyone, anywhere") can learn them in this free consultation. Related videos and photos. The video sells you the short-term and long-term benefits of the academy. It also uses urgent language to encourage you to sign up now. CTA above the fold. Before you start scrolling you see the first contact form. It drives conversions using feature-based language like “claim your session". Show that you are popular. This page offers social proof in two forms: news outlet features and client testimonials. Use long-form copy when necessary. This page dives deeper into the five strategies you’ll learn in your session and what they mean moving forward. It encourages more reluctant customers to call by guaranteeing specific information and value.
Here’s what we love most about this page:
Educational video for better-educated counseling. The company’s owner, Jessica, has included a video in which she explains the difference between independent contractors and employees and why anyone should consider hiring a virtual or personal assistant. Clearing up what is likely to be a common question on the minds of potential clients, Jessica demonstrates her expertise and assures us what you can expect from a consultation with her. Acuity Scheduling is embedded in a pop-up form. Prospects who click to book a consultation are presented with a calendar where they can schedule a session directly with Jessica. As we saw earlier, direct scheduling makes prospects feel more committed to the consultation and reduces the likelihood of no-shows.
Easy Ways to Improve Your Free Consulting Offer
Now that we’ve seen several free consultation page examples, let’s look at some general principles you can use to increase your free consultation conversion rate.
Set clear expectations.
Anyone thinking about booking a free consultation with you should clearly understand what the session will entail.
If it’s just left to the imagination, you risk losing potential leads.
Clarify who will conduct the consultation. For example, if it’s you, add a high-quality, accessible photo of yourself and link it to the “About" section of who you are. Better yet, embed a short video of yourself explaining to viewers what they can expect from a session with you.
You should also clarify to the prospect when slots will be available and how long each session will last. With Lead pages, you can easily publish your availability directly to your consultation page using a scheduling app. Of course, the duration you set for your sessions will depend on the amount of time and resources you have available, but anything between 15 and 20 minutes is pretty standard. That said, you might want to consider offering a slightly longer session to differentiate yourself from competitors who offer similar freebies.
Similarly, you should also clearly state the format of the consultation. Will it be held in person, on a call, via online chat, or via video conference?
Finally, be aware of the fact that some prospects may feel anxious about jumping on the call or meeting you in person. If you frame the session as a no-pressure consultation and manage to convey a friendly personality, prospects will feel more comfortable signing up.
Emphasize the value of counseling.
Once a prospect lands on your free consultation page, they need to be able to tell you what it means to them.
The key here is to be specific. If the benefits of consulting are too vague, your prospects will think twice about signing up. This is true even if your prospects don’t suspect that you run a legitimate business run by seasoned professionals. To truly convince prospects that choosing a free consultation is worth their time, you need to demonstrate that your business can help them with their specific pain points.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you need to list every conceivable way on your advice page, but it does mean that your copy — especially your CTA — should focus on a specific problem area. I must join someone you can help. Solution. For example, instead of a basic CTA like “Sign up now for a free consultation,” try something more targeted like “Sign up now for a free consultation and I’ll take your 3 steps to achieve [specific goal]. Will share top strategies".
Another great way to highlight the level of value prospects will get from a free session with you (and any future business they do with you) is to put relevant testimonials on your consultation page. This will help drive conversions by establishing more credibility on your part.
You can also increase the perceived value of a free consultation by leveraging immediacy and exclusivity. Prospects are more likely to book a session with you now if they feel their opportunity to do so is short-lived. Phrases like “claim your session" and “only 10 counseling spots left" will help encourage sign-ups. You can even use a countdown timer—set to a specific date after which the free consultation offer will expire.
Explain the long-term benefits of working with you
Remember that you’re not just selling your prospect on the chance to get a free consultation, you’re also trying to convince them that your business is a good fit for their needs. So you must explain why working with you would be in their best interest and give them a clear sense of what makes your brand unique. If you and the prospect decide to go into business together, be sure to mention what will happen after the consultation.
Again, placing testimonials on your consultation page will help support your claims about the benefits of working with you long-term.
Nail your page design.
To optimize your consultation page for maximum conversions, you need to make sure that your page design is correct. Having well-crafted copy won’t matter if your page is littered with prospects.
To make sure the path to conversion is frictionless, make sure your page’s color scheme works with the rest of your branding, choose a high-contrast color for your CTA button so it stands out, And prioritize the most important information at the top of the page.
When it comes to your copy, use different font sizes, subheadings, and bulleted lists, and bold, italicize or underline key text for extra emphasis. This is especially important if you have a lot of information you need to convey because a large block of uninterrupted text can discourage many prospects from reading.
The easiest way to guarantee that your page design is up to the job is to use a template. Lead pages let you choose from over 200 sleek and beautiful page designs and allow you to tailor your copy and images to your unique needs.
Don’t forget to use other lead magnets!
We’ve already mentioned that free advice is a much higher commitment incentive than lead magnets like free guides, eBooks, and case studies. For prospects who have stumbled across your website through a Google search or following a link on social media, the idea of a quick consultation with you may seem a little premature.
The point here is that you shouldn’t rely on your free consultation as your only lead magnet. You need to give prospects a chance to get to know your business before you can realistically expect them to carve out time in their schedules to talk to you directly.
The best way to get prospects closer to consulting is to start building a relationship with them. This is where your other value-packed lead magnets come into play.
